First class have been very busy recently.
In Ms. Delaney’s, Ms. Maughan’s and Ms. Howard’s classes we have been learning lots about different types of homes and have focused on Lighthouses. We found a brilliant story called ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’ which everyone enjoyed.
All our classes have been looking at lots of interesting facts about Lighthouses in Geography and found out how important they are for those at sea. We wrote fantastic reports with some of the facts we found. In History we learned about Grace Darling who was a lighthouse keeper’s daughter. She was famous for saving nine people with her father when a ship crashed. We were even inspired by all we had learned and created magnificent art pieces inspired by lighthouses.
Also in 1st class, we talked about how thankful we are for our Mammies.
We wrote about what they do for us and why we love them so much!
We also created 3D flower art pieces as a gift for our Mammies.
