5th class were taking part in the Dare to Believe programme working with Team Ireland Olympics. They were learning all about the Olympics, were taking part in activities to become more active and were developing important life skills. On the 12th of November we were very fortunate to have a visit to the school by an Irish Olympian who competed at the Paris Olympics 2024. Noel was competing in Canoe Slalom taking part in the K1 Men’s race and also was the first Irish athlete to compete in the Kayak Cross event which was added to the Olympics this year. Noel did assembly and a movement break with 4th-6th class. He also took photographs with every class from Junior Infants to 6th Class. He spent some time visiting the classrooms after, meeting the children and looking at some of their projects and art work. We all had a great day and felt inspired after our visit!
